Eligibility Criteria
For UG Courses The applicants must have cleared higher secondary or equivalent scoring minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST). The appearing applicants can also apply (Provided they have to produce the evidence of qualifying the examination at the time of admission). There is no upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2018. For PG Courses The applicants must have qualified LL.B or equivalent scoring minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST). The appearing applicants can also apply (Provided they have to produce the evidence of qualifying the examination at the time of admission). There is no upper age limit to appear in the entrance examination for PG courses.
Exam Pattern
NUALS Kochi will hold the exam in May 2018. CLAT Exam Pattern has not seen any major changes over the year. CLAT exam pattern is set differently for both LLB and LLM programs. Mode of Examination: Online Exam Duration: 3 hours Number of Sections: In LLB- 5 Sections and In LLM – 3 sections Nature of Questions: Objective type (MCQs) Total Questions: 200 Questions in LLB and 150 Questions in LLM Marking Scheme: 1 mark of each question Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for a wrong answer
Selection Procedure
The allotment of institutions and seats would be based on the scores in CLAT 2017 merit-list and the choice take by candidates and availability of seat in the desired university.
