Rukmini Laxmipathiwas an Indian independence activist and politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. She was the first woman to be elected to the Madras Legislature and the first to serve as a minister in the Madras Presidency. She obtained her B.A from the Women's Christian College, Madras
Heera is a former Indian film actress from 1991 to 1999. She has appeared in several Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. Heera was born in Chennai. Her father Rajagopal, was a dermatologist in Apollo hospitals, Chennai. Her mother was a nurse in the Indian Army. She graduated in Psychology from Women's Christian College, Chennai.
